AquaDose AD-2 Dosing System

Chemical metering pump & controller · 0–20 L/h

Category
Water treatment
Model
AD-2

The AD-2 meters chemical into a process line under flow- or signal-proportional control. This guide takes the system from a wet install to a proven dose: priming, calibration, controller set-up and a signed commissioning record.

Warning
Chemical hazard: wear PPEWear the PPE named in the chemical's safety data sheet. Prime and calibrate over the bund with the eyewash to hand, and relieve line pressure before opening the injection point.
Pre-commissioning checks
  • Chemical drum, suction lance and foot valve in place
  • Injection point fitted with a non-return valve
  • Discharge tubing rated for the chemical and pressure
  • Bund and eyewash present; SDS to hand
  • Controller powered and reading the flow signal
Commissioning steps
  1. Prime the pump on the drum until the discharge runs bubble-free.
  2. Set the stroke length to 70% and the stroke rate to mid-range.
  3. Run a timed draw-down against the calibration cylinder.
  4. Enter the measured mL/stroke into the controller to calibrate.
  5. Set the dose ratio or setpoint and the flow-signal scaling.
  6. Confirm the dose tracks a simulated flow change up and down.
Verification
  • Pump primed and discharging bubble-free
  • Draw-down matches the controller's calculated dose
  • Dose tracks flow up and down within ±5%
  • Tank-low and alarm relay proven
  • Injection point holds against line pressure
