Model
LX-5

LX-5 is a two-part, toughened epoxy for structural bonding of metals, composites and ceramics. It cures at room temperature to a high-shear, impact-resistant bond line and holds its strength from −55 to +180 °C, suiting it to aerospace, automotive and general industrial assembly.

Application notes

Abrade and solvent-degrease both faying surfaces. Dispense through a static mixer, apply within the 45-minute pot life and clamp to a 0.10–0.20 mm bond line. Handling strength is reached in 10 hours at 23 °C; a 60-minute post-cure at 80 °C develops full strength and raises the glass transition.
