NetLink NL-8 Industrial Switch

8-port managed Ethernet switch · DIN-rail · PoE+

Category
Networking
Model
NL-8

The NL-8 is an eight-port managed switch for control networks, with PoE+ on four ports and redundant 24 V inputs. This guide walks the common faults (no link, no PoE, slow traffic and loss of management) to a remedy.

Notice
Work live with careThe switch is usually diagnosed powered. Treat the 24 V inputs and PoE ports as live, and isolate before re-terminating any cable.
First checks
  1. Confirm the power LEDs: the switch needs at least one healthy 24 V input.
  2. Check the port LED: dark means physical layer, amber means link-only.
  3. Swap the suspect patch lead for a known-good one and re-test.
  4. Move the device to a spare port to rule the port in or out.
  5. Console in over the mini-USB and check the port, VLAN and PoE status.
