Version history

DataSheets Pro saves snapshots as you edit so you can look back and restore an earlier version. Included on Starter and above.

DataSheets Pro automatically saves snapshots of a document as you edit, so you can look back at earlier versions and restore one if you need to. Version history is included on the Starter plan and above.

How snapshots are saved

Snapshots are captured automatically in the background as you work (roughly one every few minutes of active editing). There's nothing to click. How many snapshots are kept per document depends on your plan:

  • Starter: the 10 most recent versions.
  • Pro: the 50 most recent versions.
  • Team: the 100 most recent versions.
  • Enterprise: unlimited history.

Viewing and restoring

  1. In the editor, open History in the top bar (or open a document with the Version history chip on its card).
  2. Browse the list. The newest is tagged Latest, and each shows when it was saved and by whom.
  3. Select a version to preview it (read-only) on the right.
  4. Click Restore this version to bring it back.

Restoring first snapshots your current content, so nothing is lost, then replaces the document with the version you chose. There's also an account-wide Version history page listing recent snapshots across all your documents.
