Share link analytics

See how your shared links are used: views, visitors, PDF downloads, QR scans, and where your customers come from.

Once a document is shared with a link, DataSheets Pro counts how it's used, so you can see which documents your customers actually open.

The Analytics page

Open Analytics in the sidebar to see every shared link at once. Choose the last 7, 30 or 90 days at the top.

  • Views per day is a chart of daily views. Hover a bar for that day's number, or open Show as table for the figures.
  • Documents lists your most-viewed documents. Click one to open it.
  • On Pro and up, the page also shows totals for visitors, PDF downloads and QR scans, and breakdowns of how people arrive, their devices, countries and referring sites.

In the Share panel and your lists

  • The Share panel in Step 3 shows one document's numbers for the last 30 days (on Pro and up, also when its link was last viewed).
  • The Documents and Products lists show each one's Views (30d). Sort by Most viewed to find what customers open most. A product's count adds up the views of its documents.

How views are counted

  • Your own team's visits aren't counted when you're signed in, so the numbers reflect your customers.
  • A visitor who opens the page several times in a short period counts once. Visitors are counted once per day.
  • Search engines, link previews (for example in Slack, Teams or email) and other automated traffic aren't counted.
  • Visitors who ask their browser not to be tracked aren't counted.
  • Dates and days are in UTC. A new view appears straight away; nothing waits for an overnight update.
  • The Analytics page covers up to the last 90 days. Individual visit records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept longer.
