The live preview and how pages break
The preview is the export: the same engine builds both. Here's how content flows onto pages and where breaks happen.
The preview pane on the right of the editor isn't an approximation. It's built by the same engine that produces your PDF and image exports. What you see is what you get.
How content flows onto pages
DataSheets Pro lays your blocks out in order and measures each one against the space left on the current page. When a block won't fit, it starts a new page. The same page boxes are used for the preview, the PDF and image exports, so pagination is identical across all three.
Controlling page breaks
- Add a Page break block to force the following content onto a new page.
- For long tables, turn on Repeat header across pages so the header row reappears. See Adding and editing tables.
- Adjust page size, orientation and margins to fit more or less per page.
Reading the preview
The preview header shows a live indicator (for example "Live US Letter portrait preview") and a page count that updates as you edit. You can zoom in and out, and on narrow screens the editor and preview become tabs.
