Page size, orientation and margins

Set the page your document prints on, from US Letter and A4 to engineering sizes, plus orientation and margins.

The page your document prints on is set in Step 1: Design & Setup, in the Page setup card.

Page size

There are 21 page sizes, grouped by standard: North America (US Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Executive, Half Letter), ISO A (A3–A6), ISO B, JIS, Engineering (ANSI C/D/E), Print collateral (a 4 × 9 rack card, and the flat sheets of a half-fold and a trifold rack card — choose Landscape for those two) and a few others. Each option shows both inch and millimeter dimensions. Most people use US Letter or A4.

Orientation

Choose Portrait or Landscape. Landscape suits wide tables and comparison sheets.

Margins

Set the Top, Bottom, Left and Right margins independently. Values are shown in inches or millimeters depending on your measurement-unit preference. Around 0.5″–1″ works well for most documents.
