Controlled documents and conformance checks

Some document types are controlled: they carry a responsibility notice and a conformance checklist you clear before marking the document Final.

Some document types (certificates, declarations, FMEAs and other quality records) are controlled. DataSheets Pro treats them with a little more care so they hold up in a quality system.

The responsibility notice

When you pick a controlled type (and again in the editor) a short responsibility notice appears: the built-in structure is a starting point, and you're responsible for the content meeting the governing standard. It's informational and it doesn't lock anything.

Conformance checks

In Step 3: Review & Export, controlled documents show a Conformance checks panel listing anything still missing or unset: an empty document number, a missing approver, a required section that isn't present. It's a checklist to clear before you release; it flags items but never blocks editing or export.

Draft and Final

Every document has a status, Draft or Final, set in the Review step. Marking a document Final adds a badge wherever the document is listed; it's a signal to your team, and it never prevents further editing or export. You can switch back to Draft at any time.
