Undo, autosave and keyboard shortcuts
Your work saves itself, every change can be undone, and a few keyboard shortcuts speed up editing.
You don't have to save by hand, and you can always step back. Here's how the editor keeps up with your work.
Autosave
The editor saves automatically a moment after you stop making changes. The top bar shows the current state: Saving…, All changes saved, or Couldn't save, retrying… if the network hiccups (it keeps retrying). Wait for All changes saved before you close the tab.
Undo and redo
Every change can be undone: text, block edits, reordering, adds and deletes. Use the undo and redo buttons in the top bar, or the keyboard:
| Action | Windows / Linux | Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Undo | Ctrl + Z | ⌘ + Z |
| Redo | Ctrl + Shift + Z or Ctrl + Y | ⌘ + Shift + Z |
The editor keeps a deep history, and rapid edits (like a burst of typing) collapse into a single undo step, so one press doesn't only remove one character.
