Exporting a document to PDF
Export a print-ready, searchable PDF from any document: where the button is, and what's in the file.
PDF is the primary export, and it's available on every plan. The result is a real, multi-page PDF with selectable, searchable text, not a flat image.
How to export
- Use the Export PDF button in the top bar at any time, or
- Go to Step 3: Review & Export and click Export searchable PDF.
DataSheets Pro renders the document and downloads the PDF. While it's working, the button shows "Preparing PDF…".
What's in the PDF
- Selectable, searchable text: readers can copy text and search inside the file.
- Clickable links: the website link in the header is live. A QR code is printed to be scanned, not clicked.
- Repeating header and footer on every page, with page numbers when they're switched on in the footer settings.
- Exactly what the preview showed: the same page layout you see in the editor.
Other formats
PDF isn't the only option. You can also export PNG or JPEG images on Pro and above. The Review step's format list also shows Word (.docx) for editable hand-off. It is rolling out, so on Pro and above it reads Coming soon, and on Free and Starter Not on this plan.
