Selecting products in bulk, and undoing an import
Tick several products to create documents from them or delete them at once, and take back a whole spreadsheet import if it wasn't right.
My Products has a checkbox beside every product. Tick a few and a bar appears at the top of the list with what you can do to them.
Selecting
- One at a time: tick the box on any row.
- Everything showing: the box in the table header ticks every product your current search and filters show. It never ticks products you can't see.
- Across filters: a selection follows you. Search for one category, tick some, search for another, tick more: the bar keeps counting all of them, and acts on all of them.
Creating documents in bulk
Click Create documents, choose a layout, and DataSheets Pro makes one draft per selected product, each carrying that product's details and linked back to it, the same thing Create a document does on a single product page.
The layout list starts with Your saved layouts, then the built-in document types. Selecting two hundred products and choosing your own sell-sheet layout makes two hundred sell sheets that already look the way you want them to.
Deleting in bulk
Delete removes the selected products and moves their documents to Trash. The button says how many documents that is, and the confirmation repeats it, because one click here can move a lot of them, though nothing is destroyed and Trash keeps them for 30 days.
Undoing a spreadsheet import
Above the product list, Recent imports lists your last few spreadsheet imports with what each one did. If an import wasn't right, click Undo beside it.
- The documents that import created go to Trash, where you can restore them.
- The products it created are removed, unless a document still uses one, in which case it's kept.
- Nothing the import didn't create is touched, including products and documents you'd since edited by hand.
